To Do… Preparing For Baby

The first time I had a baby… It was all about the baby. Preparing the sleeping area for baby, washing, folding and re-folding the baby’s clothes, researching how to feed baby, diapers, etc. I got so caught up in baby, that I neglected to prepare myself for the recovery. This time around, I’m not making that same mistake twice!

That said, I have already stocked my bathroom for what I’ll need postpartum (for the sake of discussion: peri bottle, undies, breast pads, pads, lansinoh ointment, epsom salts), and now I am working on a list of meals I can make to freeze before baby arrives… Because I know I won’t have any time or energy to cook. I ended up over-doing it with my first and started bleeding too much a few times, so… Lesson learned. Take all the help you can get and freeze yourself some darn meals!

Onto the List!

  • Chicken Pot Pie
  • Burritos!
  • Various pasta sauces
  • Crock pot-ready stew
  • Muffins
  • Moussaka
  • Enchiladas

Just a quick brainstorm to get me started… I have 60 days left!
