Activities Outside of Netflix and Chill

In preparing for a new baby, relationships are very important. I’ve slipped in mine for sure, as I wallow in the loss of my role as a student and as a nurse/gainfully employed individual. Your children will come into the world after your relationship with your partner has begun, and will be off on their own before you know it, leaving you with the love you started with, so remember to always treat that love well. Nourish it and grow it <3

Here are some cheap things to do to keep the magic alive and not let your partner become a shadow in your life:

  1. Very simply, go for a walk around the neighborhood.
  2. Alternatively, take a hike. Find a local trail and pack some snacks and waters; go for a short or a long hike.
  3. Play a card or video game together.
  4. Screen-free time. Schedule a time where you can remove all electronics from your day and just see where the evening takes you.
  5. Go for a drive/explore a new area of town.
  6. If there is one locally, visit a pottery house and make custom mugs for one another.
  7. Breakfast in bed with a good morning TV show.
  8. Watch the sunset from your porch/outside. Just chat away 🙂
  9. Go mini-golfing, or bowling together
  10. Visit the library and pick out a book for each other
  11. Spend time asking each other get-to-know-you questions. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together; chances are, you don’t know everything about your spouse and learning more about them is a great experiences. Usually. 😛
