I’m pretty darn nauseous today, so the last thing I really felt like doing was planning food. Uhg! Anyway, I plugged through it. Since I’m low on some Japanese-related cooking items, I threw in some Japanese-style foods for Sunday. That said, this week’s budget will likely be much higher than the weeks that follow.
Drum roll, please?
Monday
- Pantry Pasta for Two. I’ll admit right now that I am hopelessly addicted to thePioneerWoman.com at the moment…
- Buttered bread.
- Steamed carrots.
Tuesday
- Yam & Potato Soup.
- Sour Cream Potato Rolls.
Wednesday
- Baked Lemon Pasta.
- Sour Cream Potato Rolls. (leftover)
Thursday

Saturday
- Pancakes! Per request from my daughter 🙂
Not sure how I’some m going to get vegetables into that one, but I’ll see what I can manage. Perhaps dipping veggies while we prepare the pancakes!
Sunday
- Veggie Gyozas.
- Rice Balls.
For this week, I will need to purchase:
- Bacon (turkey)
- Tortillas (Usually, I’d hand make these to be frugal, but I’m not feeling fabulous)
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Bell peppers
- Golden Raisins
- Celery
- Green Olives
- Ginger
- Cabbage
- Yam
- Parmesan cheese
- Sour Cream
- Rice Vinegar
- Mirin (sweet rice wine)
- Baking powder.
Estimated cost? Ehhh… I have no idea just yet. Likely going to border around $100.00. I’ll update you on the costs after le’ shop is done!
