Ipsy October Bag o’Goodies

img_0890October’s Ipsy bag was decent. It came with an Indi Beauty Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub. This came just in time as I have been experiencing dry lips lately alongside an insatiable thirst. It is incredibly thick, however, and thus difficult to use without being messy as heck. This is a shower item for sure. Smooth lips, though! It is very moisturizing so make sure to use it before you wash your face so that you can wash off the oily residue from your skin.

It also came with theBalm Hot Mama Blush.  I know it wasn’t intentional, but I will take a compliment anywhere I can get one. Signed, Hot Mama 😉

I actually haven’t tried out this blush yet, but I have tried another one of their blushes from a sample before and it had good pigment and staying power. I was happy to see this in my kit of goodies this month.

To follow-up the wonderful lip scrub in this month’s Ipsy bag, I also received a noyeah Natural Lipstick in the colour smoke, which… Makes me look anemic. Not hypoxic, but pallor. Not my favourite colour, but the formula is great! It doesn’t get sticky, it goes on smooth and has excellent pigment. I think this will be a good lipstick to use with the other, more vibrant colours I’ve received in my monthly mailings.

I loved seeing this in my bag: Nudstix Concealer Pencil in light 2. I haven’t tried this one out yet, either, but I am on a total kick of trying concealers out. I’m 32-years-old and am just now discovering the amazing life that includes concealer in it. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Lastly, Pure Brazilian Leave In Miracle (conditioner). I used this and it made me smell like I spent money at a salon… Which I rarely ever do. Bonus! It also left my hair a little more shiny than usual and it blew dry a little better than usual. This one is a keeper, and that is saying a lot as I’m very picky about hair products, because I’m… I don’t want to say lazy, but I am when it comes to hair. I choose to identify as “low maintenance.”  How’s that?

Go ahead, now. It’s your turn to spoil yourself, your friend, or your loved one :)  Ipsy is the monthly gift that doesn’t leave you curled up in a fetal position with a heating pad. And that’s fabulous.
