Last week’s nursing discussion was a good pracitce run for me. Now it’s time to kick off the month of June with some discussions relevant to Licensed Practical Nurses, particularely those in British Columbia.
This month, I want to review LPN roles and what the job entails as well the history of practical nursing; Basic Anatomy and Physiology for Nurses (an introduction to A&P), Standard Precautions per VIHA for 2012, and lastly an outline of the major body systems & their functions.
I’m not 100% on the dates and times, but I am proposing the following schedule for this month:
- June 5th @ 10:30 AM PST :: Introduction to LPNs
- June 12th @ 11:00 AM PST :: Anatomy & Physiology basic introduction
- June 19th @ 11:00 AM PST :: Standard Precautions (Hand washing, etc.) per VIHA 2012
- June 26th @ 11:00 AM PST :: Major Body Systems – An Outline
